Game Recap

The Goldiggers battled the elements as one unit as they defeated Nederland by a score of 5-0. As the snow fell, so did Nederland as Samantha O’Brien scored four goals and Sydney Zabel tallied one more for Goldiggers. Every player saw action through the first half of play and each player contributed with focus, determination, and pose. The game was called at halftime due to weather. As coach of the Goldiggers, it was a pleasure to watch this young squad represent our school and our community. WE ARE CLEAR CREEK!

Game Recap

Gold Diggers Goal/Purpose:
Our purpose is to build a cohesive unit of teammates (not just guys on a team) dedicated to and supporting one other. Our success will be determined by how we come together as a team, how we compete, how we overcome adversity and how we become better young men through the process and experiences we have playing the sport of lacrosse. “IF we control what we can control and do the things we need to do the scoreboard will sort it’self out.”

Week One Recap:
We have been very fortunate with the warm weather and the ability to practice outside! The players have worked hard and have shown improvement from day one. Our goal is to get better each and every day we take the field. During week one we focused on fundamentals of the sport and in the process I’ve had a chance to evaluate the individual and team skills as I try to sort out who should play where and what we need to work on. So far so good!

BACK TO BACK!!!!!! Congratulations to our Gold Team as they completed a tough win against a very good Academy team and achieved Back to Back Championships in a 35-27 win. The two year Win/Loss record for this group is 28 wins 5 loses, very impressive at any level. Our Blue Team fought hard and although the score didn’t echo that, they had an incredible season this year and finished the tournament in second place.
